The Ambatovy Project is a large tonnage, long-life nickel and cobalt mining enterprise located in Madagascar. The project is one of the biggest in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean region. Once fully operational, it will have an annual capacity to produce 60,000 tons of refined nickel, 5,600 tons of cobalt, and 210,000 tons of ammonium sulfate fertilizer.
