TEMCo provided a centralized power conversion system for the Naiklat shipyard used to supply power for LNG tankers and Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units during construction and repair.
This included high voltage switchgear, rotary frequency converters, and related accessories.
TEMCo offers a technologically advanced alternative to traditional rotary frequency conversion systems. The result is a significant reduction in production time along with reduced project investment. This approach also offers substantial increases in efficiency.
Nakilat Shipyard is located in the North-Eastern shore of Qatar in Ras Laffan Industrial City, about 70km from Doha, Qatar's capital. The extensive, 106 acre ship repair facilities serve the Nakilat fleet as well commercial ship-owners.
The shipyard is designed for the repair and maintenance of large carriers and a wide range of other vessels and the conversion of tankers to Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units. It can also build ships up to 120 meters in length, including tugs, offshore supply vessels, coastal tankers, ferries, naval and coastguard vessels, and superyachts.
